Creating a Learning Culture – Blending Live Training with Online Training

Rachelle Ellington will take us on a learning journey to demonstrate the best practices of Blending Live Training with Online Training! It’s more than learning; it’s a learning culture!

Changing or building a culture around training, especially if there is already negativity, starts with one person whispering, “Hey, I think we can do better, and here is an idea,” or “Hey, we can do better, and I need your help.”

Rachelle will discuss why the Training & Development team should be the common factor for all departments to truly shift an organization’s health around learning/training/education. Bright minds can connect ALL departments with their experience, knowledge, and sheer excitement in helping others with professional development—no matter what department or title. A blended approach to what can be offered will provide a culture shift that builds bench strength, empowerment, and stability for your team.

  • What does training mean to your organization? Eek! Yay! or Do you mean more than Fair Housing and Sexual Harassment?
  • Engagement, Stakeholders, and buy-in start with people. You can lead them to a learning platform, but then what?
  • Blended approach basics. Online, Virtual, Live, self-assign. So many options and where to start!
  • WIIFM & Us. How more than one option will entice your current team and new hires.
  • Think big picture and start small. Engaging the larger group will take some time, but it will spread like wildfire once a few see the success!
